The recent report released by eToro paints a very interesting picture in terms of its user base. Whereas many people would expect Bitcoin to be the most popular, it is in fact XRP that takes the crown.
eToro is one of the many platforms providing exposure to cryptocurrency trading.
Interesting XRP Statistics on eToro
It is also a multi-asset brokerage firm trying to gain more traction around the world.
Over half of the eToro traders seem to own XRP as part of their portfolio, which comes as a pretty big surprise.
This does not mean that these users solely own XRP either, but it is an interesting statistic regardless.
XRP is well ahead of Bitcoin, which comes in second at 35.1%.
Ethereum closes out the top three with 23.9%.
That latter part is a bit surprising, as Ethereum has been performing rather well in the past few weeks.
Although eToro doesn’t support all cryptocurrencies, it is evident that some assets aren’t as popular.
ZCash, Tezos, and Tron see the lowest rate of investment at this time, which may come as a surprise to some.
All of this goes to show that cryptocurrencies remain quite popular on this trading platform.
