Shiba Inu Price: When Is the Best Time To Buy SHIB?

Want to make a profit on Shiba Inu trading? There’s nothing to it. All you need to do is buy SHIB when the Shiba Inu price is low and sell SHIB when the price is high. The difference is pure profit. Save it up until you can afford that Lamborghini you’ve got your eye on.

It sounds easy, doesn’t it? But if it were that easy, everyone would be doing it. Making a profit isn’t always simple – especially in the volatile cryptocurrency world. Market volatility sends the SHIB price up and down like a yo-yo. It rises to new heights and plummets to new lows unpredictably, without warning or obvious cause. When you buy Shiba Inu, last week’s 500 € purchase may be worth 2,500 € today – or 100 €.

Day trading is glamorous, but timing the market is notoriously difficult. Buying and selling according to predictions about the rapidly changing Shiba Inu exchange rate confounds even the most serious professional investors.

SHIB value can change dramatically as a result of global market dynamics, speculation about international regulatory changes, tweets from billionaires, and many other factors. Timing the market would be tough if we knew all the influencing factors, and we surely don’t.

If you’re wondering why nearly all day traders lose money in the long run, that’s the reason.

A joke about a joke

In 2013, software engineers Jackson Palmer and Billy Marcus created a cryptocurrency called Dogecoin. The coin’s logo was based on a popular meme that featured the image of a shiba inu and the deliberately misspelled word “doge.”

No one expected Dogecoin to become a serious cryptocurrency or a good investment. It was a joke, a parody of Bitcoin.

But the price rose and people made money, and before long the crypto market was full of memecoins.

In 2020, a person or group known as Ryoshi created a parody of Dogecoin and called it Shiba Inu. Ryoshi grandly proclaimed the new coin “the Dogecoin killer.”

SHIB was unique from the very start. Ryoshi created 1 quadrillion tokens, locking 50% of them in Uniswap. Ryoshi sent the remaining 500 trillion coins to Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin.

Buterin donated more than 50 trillion SHIB – worth more than $1 billion at the time – to India’s COVID-Crypto Relief Fund.

On 1 January 2022 Kriptomat gave 2,022 SHIB coins to every registered customer. In those days, 20 euros would buy you 1 million SHIB, so the gift was mostly symbolic. But Shiba Inu had risen in price from 0.00000607 euros at the end of September 2021 to an all-time high of 0.00005704 euros on 3 November – a jump of about 9,400% in just a few weeks. Anything seemed possible.

Shiba Inu has remained popular among crypto investors. It’s possible to buy a lot of SHIB for very little money, and if the price spikes again, the returns could be enormous.

It’s no wonder Shiba Inu has consistently appeared on the list of the top 20 most actively traded cryptos.

Investing in Shiba Inu

Industry observers are split when it comes to memecoins. Coins and tokens like Shiba Inu are usually not associated with DeFi apps or collectible NFTs or other projects. They are created entirely for speculators and investors.

A community has arisen around SHIB, however, and a rich ecosystem that supports two additional cryptocurrencies and mechanisms for swapping and staking. Community members – the ShibArmy – are active in guiding the ecosystem’s future, selecting charities to support, and building out new applications to run on Shiba Inu.

Many investors find the extremely low price of SHIB tokens appealing. With a few thousand euros they can own 1 billion SHIB. If the price were to rise to 0.01 euros (or even 0.001), the thousands of euros would grow to millions.

Learning From the Past

What if you had purchased Shiba Inu a month ago or a year ago? If you had invested 100 € in SHIB, what would you have now?

Curious? Check out the Kriptomat what-if calculator, which performs the calculations based on data that is refreshed around the clock. The calculator can tell you exactly how much your 100 € investment would be worth today using actual historical data.

In fact, the calculator displays the current value of 100 € investments for any of the 350+ cryptocurrencies on sale at Kriptomat.

The calculator shows that regardless of short-term volatility, crypto investing has been the source of substantial long-term returns.

One good way to take advantage of long-term upward trends is to use the Kriptomat Recurring Buy feature, which lets you set a schedule of regular purchases on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. For the price of a daily cup of Starbucks, you can slowly but steadily build up your crypto portfolio in support of long-term goals like retirement, purchasing property, or paying for an expensive university education.

The Bottom Line

Millions of day traders can testify that nothing is easy when it comes to predicting market highs and lows in the crypto world. Factors influencing the Shiba Inu exchange rate are too numerous and obscure to track.

Volatility makes life hard for day traders, but the effects are small compared to long-term Shiba Inu price trends.

There is no such thing as a “sure thing” in crypto investing, but many happy members of the ShibaArmy have found success by thinking of their crypto holdings as a long-term investment.
