There are always interesting things going on in the cryptocurrency space. OmiseGO, a popular altcoin ecosystem, recently underwent a security audit through Quantstamp.
It is crucial for any blockchain ecosystem to have its technology vetted by a third party.
OmiseGO Audit Completed Successfully
Allowing for potential security holes to exist is never an advisable course of action.
In the case of OmiseGO, there was never any major concern regarding its underlying security.
Having that confirmed by an esteemed firm such as Quantstamp is always beneficial, however.
The point of focus of this audit leis with the More Viable Plasma aspect of the OMG Network.
It is also the second time that Quantstamp performs this service on behalf of OmiseGO.
The first audit took place in late 2019 when Minimum Viable Plasma went through a similar procedure.
While some medium- and low-severity issues were found, no major flaws are present.
The Quantstamp team also provided code improvement recommendations for the team, which will be taken to heart.
It is expected that a full official report will be made public in the coming weeks.
All in all, it is a positive day for the OmiseGO ecosystem as a whole.
Followijg this audit, the developers can once again shift their focus to building new services and features for the community.
