Pornhub has become of great interest to cryptocurrency enthusiasts as of late. Ever since the company offered a paid partnership to Verge, the question became whether or not other cryptocurrencies would be accepted by the adult entertainment provider over time.

A Smart Decision by Pornhub

It has become apparent that the recent Verge-Pornhub partnership has not generated much buzz over the past few weeks, primarily due to the fact that Verge is a niche currency that has no real purpose other than being accepted by Pornhub.

According to Variety, it appears Pornhub is looking to accept additional cryptocurrencies on its adult content platform. Tron is among the new currencies to be accepted, which is surprising since the project is mainly aimed at building a decentralized internet and can effectively put companies such as Pornhub out of business in the long run.

Additionally, ZenCash has also been shortlisted and considering how the currency is a fork of ZCash, that decision seems to make very little sense. It is evident Pornhub is making these strategic decisions using a very different mindset compared to how other companies would handle things at this stage.

Pornhub is one of the few adult content platforms effectively embracing cryptocurrencies right now but unfortunately, their decision to go with the smaller coins which may not be around in a few years from today does not seem like a smart business move.

Final Thoughts

While it is commendable to see Pornhub take this course of action, it remains to be seen if it is the right approach. With both Tron and ZenCash being fairly nascent alt assets, it seems unlikely that either currency will be widely used on the Pornhub platform. Thankfully, neither of these projects had to pay a large amount of money for the partnership since it may not result in any major changes for either company moving forward.
