An Interesting Gadget by HTC
The company even built a dedicated smartphone to cater to this particular community.
A new product by HTC was unveiled this week, which may have surprising benefits.
The company’s privacy-focused 5G router will undoubtedly be of great interest to a lot of users.
Its added benefit comes in the form of being able to run a Bitcoin node.
Doing so will require ample storage and powerful hardware first and foremost.
Being able to run a Bitcoin node over 5G is certainly an interesting option, once this new standard rolls out worldwide.
Other functionality of the new router includes a built-in cryptocurrency wallet solution.
That piece of software, dubbed as Zion Vault, will support Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Stellar Lumens, and Binance Coin.
Additionally, all tokens issued on Ethereum will be supported as well.
All in all, HTC is venturing down a rather intriguing path, albeit one that might not pay off.
This product caters to a very niche crowd, most of whom have no need for this type of device in the first place.
