Gun Liability Insurance: Why It’s Needed

gun liability insurance

Gun liability insurance isn’t a requirement for most people – yet. San Jose, California recently became the first city to require liability insurance for accidental shootings, however this appears to be a long time coming.

If we look back to 2013, a number of states including Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York (and of course California, given that San Jose took the first step) had considered legislation to require gun insurance. This was in response to the Newtown, Connecticut school shooting. It does seem that other cities will follow in suit with San Jose, as Los Angels is now putting the matter under careful consideration.
