CryptoMode Wirex Crowdfunding

Cryptocurrency payments firm Wirex has successfully concluded its crowdfunding campaign. Over £3.7 million has been raised successfully, beating the initial target by roughly 370%. The money will be used to further expand the platform and introduce a multi-currency Mastercard.

A Successful Wirex Campaign

Most people in the cryptocurrency space will be familiar with the Wirex name. It is a company providing crypto payment solutions, including virtual and physical debit cards. Primarily available in Europe, it has grown out to be a very successful company. When launched in 2014, it was known as E-Coin, yet the name has a much better ring to it.

To take its business to the next level, a crowdfunding campaign was organized on Crowdcube. Investors from all over the world could pool together resources to ensure the £1 million mark goal would be reached. It took just 90 minutes to hit that threshold, confirming this company is incredibly popular.

While that target was met quickly, the crowdfunding campaign didn’t end there. This is one of the main reasons to use solutions such as Crowdcube. By having the campaign active after this threshold, Wirex raised another £2.7 million in the following days. As such, they raise 370% of the initial target.

Wirex CEO Pavel Matveev adds:

“Our mission is to democratize access to cryptocurrency, and this successful crowdfunding campaign is one step further in achieving this goal.”

Following this successful company milestone, it is time to look toward the future. Wirex will launch its multi-currency Mastercard in the coming months. Furthermore, the reward scheme will receive an upgrade. If all things go according to plan, the company’s services will become available in the US and Japan in the near future.

Services like these make it easier to spend cryptocurrency on regular purchases. Mastercard cards are accepted by millions of merchants around the world, both online and offline.
